How to Volunteer at the Kearney Dog Sled Races
We couldn’t do it without you!
The Kearney Dog Sled Race is a volunteer effort from beginning to end. This 2 day dog sled event would never have been possible without the volunteer efforts of thousands of dedicated individuals, all of whom have lent a hand … and sometimes much more – over the past 20+ years.
Volunteers play a vital part in many aspects of this event. We have jobs for young and old. You can help us in many ways, from working with the committee during the fundraising, or helping with crowd control or road crossing safety during the races, to indoor jobs such as food preparation and concession assistance in the Community Centre. The Kearney Dog Sled Race welcomes volunteers from all over Ontario, Quebec and around the world. Join our incredible volunteer team.
Instructions for Volunteers
If you would like to volunteer outside during the race weekend, please remember to dress warmly as you could be outside for a period of time.
On Sunday evening during our Closing Ceremonies, we serve a lasagna dinner and it is FREE to our volunteers … as an appreciation for your time and assistance.
