How to Volunteer at the Kearney Dog Sled Races

We couldn't do it without you!
The Kearney Dog Sled Race is a volunteer effort from beginning to end. This 2 day dog sled event would never have been possible without the volunteer efforts of thousands of dedicated individuals, all of whom have lent a hand ... and sometimes much more - over the past 30+ years.
Volunteers play a vital part in many aspects of this event. We have jobs for all ages and abilities, and will happily provide volunteer hours for students. You can help us in many ways, from working with the committee during the off-season organizing aspects of the event or fundraising to helping outside during Race Weekend with crowd control or road crossing safety during the races. Most of the volunteer positions are outdoor, but we do have a few indoor jobs we need help with. The Kearney Dog Sled Race welcomes volunteers from all over Ontario, Quebec and around the world. Join our incredible volunteer team!
Instructions for Volunteers
If you would like to volunteer during the race weekend, please remember to dress warmly as you could be outside for a period of time. Our volunteer coordinator will make sure you are well informed on your outdoor shift duration and location!
All of our volunteers receive a FREE meal ticket for each day that they volunteer with us as a token of appreciation for your time and dedication.
