Ski-joring Race Route
Ski-joring is a winter sport that originated in Scandinavia. One or two dogs will pull a person on cross-country skies by means of a climbing harness. Our Ski-joring race is a sprint with high speeds involved, making it very exciting for spectators and racers. Ski-jorers must have very strong cross country skiing skills to manage to keep on their feet. Some of our past racers have even competed in cross country skiing world championships!
The race itself follows the same course as our 4 Dog Sprint, both starting and finishing on the Town’s Main Street for excellent viewing.
