With exceptional and immersive storytelling, the channel offers in-depth, behind-the-scenes glimpses at the extraordinary people and places that shape our world.
And Discovery is coming to the Kearney Dog Sled Races! With a new documentary series planned for later in 2016, Andrew Younghusband, host of Canada’s Worst Driver, is coming to the Kearney Dog Sled races to see what it really takes to be a dog sled musher.
Discovery fills their channel with shows produced by a number of independent production companies bent in the same direction – they air shows about interesting people, places and activities –with factual shows on topics such as science, nature, adventure and technology.
One of these independent production companies, Proper Television, approached the Kearney Dog Sled Races Committee to work out details to film an episode for their new series where Andrew Younghusband tackles wildly different experiences with a comedic eye and a typically Canadian flair! See Discovery’s news release:
Proper Television has emerged as one of Canada’s strongest and most sought-after creators of factual entertainment, bringing a slate of successful and original series to audiences which include MasterChef Canada, Vegas Rat Rods, Canada’s Worst Driver, and Don’t Drive Here.
Andrew Younghusband will be working with some of our local mushers and ski-jorers to learn about that passion that brings men and women to dogsled sports, gain some practical experience, and benefit from their direction and expertise before competing in one of our races Saturday February 13, 2016. So bring the family, come on out and cheer him on!
