Dog Food Drive is BACK!

DOG FOOD DRIVE is back for 2026! We had great success last year filling up a whole sled bag of dog food and non perishable human food items for our local food bank. This year, we hope to double that !

Our junior race committee member Mia Beatty brought the idea of doing food drive to a meeting last year. She showed up to help out with the race in any way she could, but her ambitions were even bigger than that. Mia is a highly community-oriented young musher with an even bigger heart. She inspired this dog food drive initiative and then continued to do her own food drives all summer long. She filled numerous sled bags with donations for our local food banks helping animals and humans alike.

We are so inspired by Mia’s kind heart and her dedication to making the world a better place. We hope that everyone can bring some unopened dog food bags or canned food to support local pets in need. We will also be accepting any non-perishable human food items! We ask that all donations be saved for our awards banquet where we will have designated area with a sled bag ready to fill.
