The Kearney Dog Sled committee along with partnership funding from our local Regional Tourism Organization, Explorers Edge worked with a local web designer to bring a new online experience to visitors for the 2015 Kearney Dog Sled Season. We welcome you now to our new website for the Kearney Dog Sled Races.
Like anything new, we’re happy to see it arrive, and will be providing new updates and information online in for the Kearney Dog Sled Races as it becomes available. We’ve already updated the website with lots of new details for you to view and learn about. Our front page provides you with information about this years event and easy links to Musher Registration, Visitor Information, How to become a Volunteer, and ways to support the races by becoming a Friends of the Dog Sponsor.
We’re also featuring this years proud race sponsors: Moore Propane (10 Dog Stage Race), Jackie MacAvoy (6 Dog Race), Town of Kearney (4 Dog Sprint Race), Suds on Main Pub (Ski-joring Race) and Fetterley’s Garage (the Kid & Mutt Race). We’d like to thank our many other sponsors at the Gold, Silver & Bronze levels along with the many local businesses, organizations and individuals who have become a Friends of the Dogs sponsor too.
The 2015 Kearney Dog Sled Race will feature the following races
- A NEW 10 Dog Stage Race, consisting of 2x 50 mile races over two days with 10 dogs from a 12 dog pool.
- 6 Dog Race
- 4 Dog Sprint Race
- 1 & 2 Dog Skijoring Races
- and the ever popular Kid & Mutt Races
Registration and a Family Skate & Bonfire at Town Rink will be on Friday Feb 6th followed by two days (Saturday Feb 7th and Sunday Feb 8th) of Dog Sled Racing in Kearney Ontario. You can see more details about the Kearney Dog Sled Races on the Race Day page.
